Our new release 2025.1 offers many refinements in usability and visualisation. Our EHD and TEHD bearing simulation has been further improved for flexibility and stability. Additional force couplings enhance modeling capabilities.

Highlights of the new release:
Configuration:
New configuration tool xconfig for windows and linux
Improved settings for external programs (FEM, animator)
Enables selection of GUI fonts
FIRST multi body simulation:
Hydrodynamic bearing simulation
Optional centrifugal forces on fluid film in all bearing metrics
Optional suppression of hydrodynamic effects for very small gaps in asperity contacts
Additional refinement for defining temperature boundary conditions
Enabling prescribed initial film thickness for mass conserving partial fill simulation
Interface to include MESYS roller bearing models in FIRST simulations
New force coupling for electromagnetic forces for the simulation of electric motors or generators
Job handling and preprocessing using XPre:
Start animator visualisation directly from xpre (Windows only)
Improved 'plug-and-play' when exchanging bodies in existing models
Improved interface for creation of animations
Postprocessing using XPost and animator:
Enable vectors to represent the oil velocity in animator
Improvements in handling rigid-body motion and scaling for animations
